Prints of the images in the Giclée Photographs Wing will be made on request. Each edition is limited to 100 signed and numbered prints, using light-fast inks on archival paper, printed by the artist herself.
 
        Framing is artfully chosen using archival materials. I frame my prints using UV-filtering Acrylic that blocks 87% of Ultraviolet light. All mats are white unless otherwise specified. Color choice usually requires a custom mat fee.
When choosing an unmatted framed picture, please remember that the frame crops 1/4" off each side of the paper. If you are framing a borderless print, this will crop the image.         Frames are Environmentally Friendly Products ~ No rainforest or hardwood trees are sacrificed; manufacture generates minimal waste.
        In keeping with my concern for the environment, most of my frames are made from recycled wood with a farmed wood laminate finish. Since I discovered that teak is endangered, I will sell off those I have in stock and buy no more. (My supplier thought they were buying farmed wood.) I advertise a few frames from American tree farms, and in an emergency I do buy imported frames from local framers, but I am now making sure they are not made of endangered wood. The exception is the small yard-sale frames; I don't always know what they are made of, but they are being recycled. They are being donated by a very generous fellow-member of The Art Group in MT Jackson, VA. The black Nordik "ebony" frames are not made of real ebony; some of them are teak, but they are used frames. The "rosewood" frames are not real rosewood.
        The least expensive frames I offer in all sizes are made of recycled wood with a vinyl laminate finish. Please be aware that there is a controversy raging over whether vinyl is good for the environment or terrible.
        I have discovered a line of beautiful 1 1/2" wide frames made from 100% real fast-growing, sustainable bamboo, which you may view here; I will be adding sizes and prices to my web site as soon as I am able. Meanwhile, just email customer service for a price if you see something on my site that you would like in a bamboo frame, or any frame that is not yet priced.

* Square images look best with custom frames, but I also provide standard sizes for the sake of economy, including square frames, which unfortunately are not made of recycled wood, although the merchant claims they are "environmentally friendly."
Shirts etc.
      You may order T-shirts from me with these images for $19.50 each (size - S~XXL), or long-sleeved "high-performance" polyester shirts for $34.50 each (size - S~XL). Add $5.50 each shipping and handling. Email miriam@risingdove.com for details or use the Order Form. Just add "tee" or "high-p shirt" to the title and put in the size. The shirts are white.
